WHAT'S NEW
AT POLERINA STUDIO
HAVE QUESTION
ABOUT OUR STUDIO?
-
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR/BRING?You should wear shorts and a tank top. You need to have a lot of skin exposed, as you need to grip to the pole. Fabric will slide right off the pole. Heels are optional. Also bring water/water bottle. We have filtered water available.
-
DO I NEED TO SIGN UP IN ADVANCE OR CAN I JUST DROP IN FOR CLASS?Classes fill up quickly at Polerina Studio, so we highly recommend signing up in advance. You can always drop-in, but are not guaranteed a spot if the class is full.
-
I HAVE NO UPPER BODY STRENGTH, OR HAVE NO DANCE EXPERIENCE, WILL THAT BE A PROBLEM?It is not a problem. By coming you will start to slowly build strength, our classes are designed to progressively teach you how to build strength and dance technique.
-
HOW DO I MOVE UP TO HIGHER POLE LEVELS?We have a checklist that can be marked off by an instructor. Once you feel comfortable with all the moves in Pole Level 1, you have an instructor mark it off so you can move up to Pole Level 2 (and so on)! We encourage you to re-visit lower levels as often as you can to review and improve your overall pole technique.
-
WHAT ELSE SHOULD I KNOW?Most of the pole classes are setup so that you will be sharing a pole with one other student. This gives you break and also helps with the learning process as well. You should NOT wear ANY lotion on your hands or legs the day of POLE CLASSES, this will make you slide off the pole. Also leave your jewelry at home. It can cause damage to the poles. ALL fitness levels and backgrounds are welcome. We pride ourselves in being body-positive. Trying a pole class for the first time we know can be a little intimidating but our team is here to make you feel comfortable and answer any questions you may have. We promise it will be fun and a great workout!
